The vibes are in, besties! The deck I’m using for 2025 is cartoonist Katie Skelly’s Bad Girl Oracle featuring literally the coolest archetypes from genre film and literature.
How to apply this
Hidden in your intuition is your creative magic. Oracle is really just another word for “guide”. What is shared below is here to help guide your intuition and strengthen it.
As you look at the card and read the interpretation, focus on what speaks to you most…
Does it seem to address a block you’ve been experiencing? Is there a spark of inspiration you feel? A word or sentence that leaps off the screen at you?
Take these and filter them through your unique genius as an answer, starting point, confidence-booster—whatever it is that you need clarity or feel at peace with the most. Just don’t over think it. Let your inner wisdom lead the way.
Here are some additional warm-up prompts to get you started:
What’s feeling the most new for you right now? What sense of newness do you want to bring into the world?
How are you allowing time to be gentle with yourself? How can that look even simpler?
What are you hoping to manifest this year? Big or small.
January’s card
My interpretation
This card has all the feels of new beginnings. Bare necessities. Minimalism. In other words: don’t overcomplicate it. You have everything you need. You just have to begin. In order to do that, focus on relearning how to tend to yourself. Ideas are planted all the time in your mind but are you nurturing them?
Think of this as entering a phase of patience and self-care. Clouds roll in, they let rain loose, and then part. Sun rays both shine and hide away. They expand and contract. These teach you to be with the ebbs and flows of life.
Allow moments to find magic in the elements. How are you called to capture them? What if you didn’t have to make anything from those moments? Would that be freeing, just to experience and not show anything more from it?
✧ Go deeper with these prompts:
What feels natural and organic? What do the free loving eras of the 60s and 70s mean to you? How do you respond to the way in which those vibes/aesthetics are applied today? Does your authentic style lean toward it or away from it? What is a modern take on that which feels most genuine to you?
Be “that girl”
From the Bad Girl Oracle guidebook:
This card may be signaling you “to take time to appreciate your physical surroundings or to spend more time in nature […] a surplus of earthly riches, or the power to manifest and heal.”
